Merry New Year

Ok, first, it sucks being back at work. I like my job, but coming back after 2 weeks off is just brutal. And to all those boo whooing about having to be back at work on the 26th, I don't care.

Second, I'm still a little sore from having a Trojan's spear jammed up my Maize & Blue ass in the Rose Bowl last night. No, I really don't want to talk about it right now.

And on to the good stuff. Home was nice. 8 days was sort of too long & sort of too short. I was bored out of my skull on Tuesday yet had zero free time on Thursday or Friday.

Friday went out & had some drinks w/ people. Saw a most random celeb sighting at the pizza joint between bars. We saw the "guy who eats all the drugs in Super Troopers" at Joe's Pizza on Carmine. "The snozberries taste like snozberries." Then we went to another bar where I accidentally kicked in the left nut. That issue was solved w/ a beer and 5 minutes on a stool. The night ended w/ 2 shots of Jaeger that set me on toasty until I crashed at4.

Sunday I ended up going to a party at the Marc Broussard's TM/FOH apt. thanks to my friend EJ. It was good times. Jaegerbombs are a lot of fun, hoegarden is a great beer, and the rest of the night doesn't need published on the internet.

Back to work has been a mixed bag. It seems I've been slow everyday until about 5:30pm when I suddenly get something to do. I let things catch up to me & ended up at work until 9:30 on Friday. Then I went out with Scott & Matt in Harlem. Hilarity ensued. I passed out on their couch.

Saturday I helped them move some more shit in & then headed to the bull riding at PBR. See, you can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy. I had a blast. More redneck for 2007. That's my goal.

After that I went home, shit, showered, & forgot to shave and headed back into the city to ceck out the band my friend manages. They weren't too bad. Still rough & need some work, but potential if he works hard enough. I still need to pop the CD in though.

Um, what else...OH, Ohio State got mauled by a gator, I built a bed (that's an entry unto itself), & my intramural broomball league starts tonight & I'm jacked for it.

I need to get back to work & make some phone calls, so more to follow down the line.

Whodey Think Gonna Beat Them Bengal???

Uhhhh, The Pittsburgh Steelers bitches.

There is nothing sweeter than wrecking someone else's season. And a 2nd botched kick to win the game & go to the playoffs IN A ROW. The Cinci kicker is so fired.

In other news, we officially have Mets tickets for next season. As EJ said, they aren't sexy since they're Mezz seats in right field, but I don't like baseball to be sexy. Beer, friends, & sport is just fine by me. Plus we're guaranteed seats in Citi Field next season. Oh, and World Series tix since we're going this year. It's not quite 2007 & I'm already pumped.

The Insanity Is Peaking

With the holiday break coming up in a few days, my life is starting to wind down. Between being sick on + off for the last month & working 60+ hr weeks when not, the internet has been neglected by Mike. This weekend was one of those that was so random/insane I just had to share with cyberspace.

Thursday was our Holiday Party. I had a band in town playing it, so I was at the venue at 3pm drinking champagne by 4. After The Oohlas sound check is was back to the office. The party was pretty funny b/c EVERYONE let their hair down for once. And I was in line so I could watch & remember everything. My favorite moment was my friend recalling the next day about dancing with Jay-Z + Nas at the same time.

Friday started slow, but slowly turned wild with The Killers not landing until 6pm. I bailed around 7:15 & headed to the Z100 Jingle Ball Jam which had the most random line-up: JoJo, The Fray (missed them both), Rihanna, Timbaland, Evanescence, The Killers, Pussycat Dolls, Nick Lachey, Nelly Furtado, & RBD (skipped the last 2 bands also).

Saturday started chill. Hung out all day and then grabbed dinner with a friend. We met up with some friends in town looking for an apt. and stupidity followed. I still can't believe my bar tab was only $23.

Luckily I slept enough on Saturday that my hangover was minimal on Sunday. Some fast food & the Steelers game put me about time to clean up & roll out to The Oohlas performance at "Casa de Ultragrrrl's Spring Break Party". Party started slow around 9 until the keg showed up. I rolled into the bathroom to get me some warm bud light and ran into one of the guys from Thursday. Several beers later The Oohlas hit the couch for their brief set.

Afterwards I was talking with Mark from The Oohlas, and the door opens. "Oh, it's Fall Out Boys tour manager. And look, there's Joe & Pete Wentz." FYI, Pete is about 6" shorter than I remember him being. And I'm convinced he always has his hoodie over his head no matter where he is.

I bailed out around 12:30 and I guess the fun really got going when Dan Keyes showed up at 2am and immediately did a perfect kegstand. Followed by Ultragrrrl doing an ill advised attempt at one.

Such is the randomness of my weekend. I was looking for it, but it sure did find me.

Life...

So I interviewed for another position today. A nice little promotion if I get it.

I have no idea where the time went. The last thing I really recall is that is was mid-September & my birthday, and I was convinced that life would slow down around the begining of October. Well here it is almost the end of October and the space b/w Sept. & the present is a little fuzzy. I have absolutely no idea what happened or where the time went. If you can fill in any of the gap, feel free to reach out & let me know what the hell I've been up to.

I'm sure i have more. All I have to do is remember it.

Ugh.

Worst. Hangover. EVER. Never. Drinking. Again. Or. At. Least. Until. Tomorrow.

Seriously though, I'm dying here at work. I had to drag myself out of work and in to work an hour late so can I really complain about not being able to go home yet? I think I can at 2, but until then it's my own damn fault. Kinda hoping I don't have another boot 'n' rally like I did this morning.

Show was awesome last night. The band went on like an hour late due to the bass player forgeting his wardrobe at the hotel & waiting on MTV people. Saw Tucker from Thursday in the crowd, but they peaced early to go to Stolen Transmission for Mandy's birthday. I've never seen them live and they killed it. High enrgy & Gerard is a madman. When he's singing he actualy looks like he's crazy at times. Closed with "I'm Not OK" & "Helena" which are my two fav. songs on Three Cheers, but they played a good mix of old & new. It was also nice that it wasn't packed to the walls in there which I was expecting. There were Probably around 300 or so people and that was it.

OK, I'm a waste of space, it's officially the time I can start bitching, and I want to curl up in my cube & take a nap. Alright, I'm out. Ugggggghhhhhh.

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge

VMA's tonight, I'm not going. By the time I'll be able to go I won't care about going anymore. I'm going to the "secret" My Chemical Romance show downtown tonight thank to the roomie. Everyone in my office is going to all the bling parties, but I'm more down for the rock. Stolen Transmission is going to be a zoo tonight, but it does sound like a hell of a time. If I had more cash & felt like calling in tomorrow I would be all over it.

I went to Ludacris last night. Hooked up VIP style, got a nice little buzz going, and then spent a fucking hour trying to get OUT of VIP & onto the floor to hang with friends. I've NEVER had an issue with not being able to leave & go to the GA area until last night. Missed all of Bobby Valentino's set thanks to that. Luda killed it (although not as good as JAY-Z) and Pharrell came out or a track or two. Shareefa came out and did 3 slow jamz killing the crowd so we left with most of the people. I found out this morning that Nas came out after her. Oops. Good to meet the new people and sorry for taking so damn long to get down to the rest of you. Thanks everyone for the debaucherous night.

In other news....I have no other news so I'm out of here. Let us hope I survive tonight & the weekend.
